Brother HL 1440 Toner Cartridge, Everything But Average.
Comparison: Compared to other printers the Brother HL 1440 Printer came out on top, with no other printer giving better speed or output for the price of less than US Dollars 300. Boasting with features such as a horizontal 250 capacity paper tray, while other had a mere 150 capacity. The horizontal tray is a wonderful idea as vertical trays have greater chances of feed problem development. The printer in general has very few glitches with great Apple Mac compatibility. Expandable memory from the standard 2 MB's to 43 MB's is available. The printer is easy to use, durable, functional and produced quality prints.
Page capacity: The printer comes standard with a 250 sheet drawer with a manual single sheet feed in the front. Most paper types and sizes are accepted including legal, letter and envelopes. Thicker printing is easier due to paper existing at the top or back of printer. The printer comes standard with a duplexer. However it is only manually operated. This can be incredibly time consuming.
Print quality: In terms of text, prints are perfect with few flaws even with fonts as small as three points. High resolution printing is crisp, sharp and quick including web page printing. However embedded graphic printing is not good at all.. In general, slight banding is noticeable in gray areas. The printer may be a little more noisy than the other printers you are use to with silent periods.
Speeds above average: The printer produces a pretty impressive15 pages per minute printing. With that speed the printer is easily on the level of much more expensive brands.
User Manual: The user manual presented in the form of a full colour poster is extremely professional. Illustrations and guidelines are clear and plain in language. The software CD has high quality video clips, showing you how to print pages, connect printer, install drivers and drum unit. A maintenance video covering cleaning of scanner, OPC and corona wire is also included. If you prefer paper manuals to posters and video's you can download it from the CD in PDF format.
Port and system compatibility: The printer comes out standard with USB and Parallel connectivity ports and Mac or Windows system compatibility. Connection of external networks is no mess or fuss.
Basic details: The printer is ideal laser, personal printer with monochrome true 1200 x 600 dpi HL 1440 Toner Cartridge color. Compatible on Pc's and as well as Apple Macintosh. The cables to connect your computer to the printer are not included in the deal so remember to orders yours well in advance. Measuring at 14.2 x 14.6 x 9.3 and weighing in at 20.3lbs, slightly larger and heavier than other Brother models, the quality and value you are getting is worth ever inch and pound.
