Modern digital graphic technologies for photo touch up
One of the great advantages of modern digital graphic technology is the ability to quickly and inexpensively do a photo touch up on an image that you are not completely satisfied with. Where in the past you just had to live with the photos once they were printed, now you can have any number of repairs or image enhancements done to your photos.
There could be any number of reasons that you want to have a photo touch up. Whatever your reason, or what ever the alteration you desire, chances are there is a quick and inexpensive solution available.
One common photo touch up is to repair a small flaw that you would like to have covered up. The most common of these is "red eye." Red eye occurs as a result of the light from your flash reflecting off of the retina of the person in the photo. The photo restoration specialist would need to replace the red in the eyes with the subjects natural eye color.
You may also want to have blemishes removed. This is especially common in photos of adolescents and babies. Their skin is more likely to have blemishes that need to be covered. This is a very simple procedure, and can be accomplished very quickly.
Another procedure you may want to consider is having unwanted objects removed from a photo. This could be an unknown person that wandered into the background, or for that matter, you could replace the entire background. That photo of you sitting on your front porch could be transformed into a photo of you sitting on a tropical beach.
Do you have an old photo that you want transformed from black and white to color? That type of technique is becoming fairly common. If you want to be a little more artistic, you could decide to have only a portion of the photo transformed. The subject of the photo could be colorized, while the remainder of the image remains black and white.
Do you want to transpose the image of your brother's head onto the body of a super model? Or move the image of your sister's face onto the body of a weightlifter? It is all possible. You could even take the image of a younger friend and make them appear to have aged considerable, or to have gained weight.
Once you begin to realize that everything on a digital image could be moved or removed, it opens up many different possibilities of what types of photo touch ups you could accomplish. The only limitations to what you can accomplish are a matter of your creativity.
